It's a Tuesday after the long weekend. I dragged my body into work. I say my body because my brain was still sleeping. I arrived at my desk and I saw a small brown box sitting on it. It's definitely not my birthday, I'm not defending for another 21 days (EEEEK!) and Tony is away so it can't be from him and I definitely don't have any secret admirers. Inside, I found three spectacular delicate scarves....
They are from my good friend Jonathan, my evil twin at work (insert evil laugh here). These silk scarves belonged to his late mother and were hand-painted and hand-stitched! Although I do not know Jonathan's mother, I know how he speaks of her and I can tell he misses her and loves her. I feel completely honoured that he chose to share the memory of his late mommy with me.
JP, I promise to take excellent care of them! I will wear them with great pride and hopefully some grace (if that's possible!) Thank you from the bottom of my heart, which is deep inside my body! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!
