Shopping detox mantra that I must repeat to myself:
I do not need a new dress
I do not need a new dress
I do not need a new dress
yet.
Resist for at least two months.
I do not need a new dress
I do not need a new dress
I do not need a new dress

NYC - Woodbury Shopping Tour - Quick thoughts.
Definitely have to do full blog post later, but for now before I forget....
The carrots made it through US customs...but the Chinese didn't
It's like having Katrina on your plate
.....you know.....
soweee!
I also think I am suffering from shopping withdrawl....

On the weekend before our long-awaited shopping trip to NYC, I returned the Thakoon rosette dress and have missed it very much. Am I suffering from a paucity of shopping or do I truly like it (even though MuMu thinks it is a giant waste of money)? The garment was priced at $98 at The Gap. While I was standing in line returning the rosette dress, I saw the other shirt dress with the same puffy sleeve appeal but with potentially a better fit (right on the pictures above. The puffy-sleeved shirt dress is priced at $88.
Rosette dress aside, I understand that this partnership with the CFDA Vogue Awards is an attempt to revive the image the Gap. While recruiting Doo Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon is commendable, I think most Americans who shop at the Gap won't know difference anyway.

If NYC shopping trip doesn't go well, I am coming right back to make some purchases at D A C E (www.dace.ca). Small independent designer based in Vancouver, how cool is that! All their stuff are actually made in Vancouver.
Molly Raincoat - $260
I love the cut of this coat, AND, I don't have any water resistant coats at all so I can totally justify this purchase.

Billy Top - $110
I love how versatile this top is. I could wear it to work, wear it out...just so many uses!!

.jpg)
Parker Dress - $166.00
Completely adorable. I am not sure I can wear it to work...but maybe???

Chase Dress - $160.00
Also entirely too lovely.

Lucky Dress - $140.00
I think this one is my favourite out of all the dresses. I love the blue, and it is nice that this is the least expensive out of all of them.

May I buy even if NYC goes well????
Pretty please????

MuMu just brought to my attention that the Kate Moss for Topshop collection was released on May 1st. Here's a link that she provided from The Star.

I think the idea of limiting shoppers to x number of items is a good idea and something H&M should consider for their next High-meets-low collection. I had a quick look at the items Kate Moss had to offer. There wasn't any WOW factor for me execpt for the white dress that made me go "Oooooooooooooo". Here are the items I would have bought if I were one of the first 25 shoppers at TopShop on Tuesday.
