I was at Zara today and found several items I wouldn't mind having in my closet. Firstly, I want to report that after three summers, I finally found the perfect black flats and I didn't have to spend the $300 to buy a pair from Miu Miu or Marc Jacobs. This just validates that waiting pays. Here they are: satin, perfect degree of toe cleavage, a hard sole, and only $50!

I also found a pair of electric blue and forest green suede peep-toe steel heels (1.5 inches) for $65. It's not a bad price but it's not a deal. I touched up the pictures on photoshop to try to recover the colour that was lost with my shitty phone camera.

The last item I found was the white shirt I loved from CM, a puffy sleeved one. It costs $45 and fit better than the CM one but the fabric is polyester-like. What do you guys think?

Lastly, I am still so torn over the yellow Zara dress. It is unlike anything I have in my closet and perfectly captures the colour and the shape of the season. But, it is a part of the cocktail dress category and I am under a cocktail dress ban for the next 3 seasons, including this one. By the way, it's completely sold out in Zara stores across Toronto. What to do, What should I do?

The Aritzia dress I bought this weekend reminded me so much of this D&G space suit/dress. Maybe that's why it was so easy to convince me to buy it.

I know it's a bit late to be reviewing Spring 2007 collections but I just have to say that I love these Stella dresses. They have a very strong 80's influence, which was a decade traditionally viewed as the one with the tackiest trends. Now that the 80's have become a part of the retro category, it appears to be acceptable to draw influence from the time of puffy shoulders, sequins, leggings and other assorted goodies that no one thought would be revived. Leave it to Stella to take some of these trends and make them modern and desirable again.

I was never excited about the Uniqlo prospects until I saw these confections to be available in June (says Mumu). It is definitely an added bonus that they are the creative products of Phillip Lim. In all honesty, I would buy them even if they were off the rack at H&M.

Things I want from FCUK if they were 50% off.

I wear 0 or xs in the store. Unless they have a new 00..but I don't think so.

Though of course, feecback on my choices are always welcomed since I have a tendency to go on shopping binges.

I like how this looks like a dress I could throw on easily in the summer.

This looks fun. I like the black one.

For work! This also comes in butter yellow, which I think would be more interesting to have since I already have lots of cream stuff:

I like this colour...and it seems so versatile!

I am undecided about this one. What do you think?

Also not sure about this one, what do you think?

Today was my first on-set experience (volunteering as an assistant make up artist for The Toronto Passion Play). Definitely fulfills all the expectations I had of everything being on a time crunch. I have never had to work so fast (make up wise), not even during my exam. Worst part is, these actors seem to all have an opinion of what their character make up should be. I have to tell them lightly that their ideas are valid and good but I am here to execute a very strict face chart. When have I ever been known to speak lightly? I was biting my tongue the whole time. The children were much easier to work with, they just got into the chair and kept quiet until my job was done. Good little boys and girls.... All in all a fun, yet stressful time. Definitely would do it again. Met some fobby chicks who gave me their business card. Mu, you have to see them; they're horrible!~ Mine is going to so much better. :D

She is me.
I am really touched by all the constant support from you guys (KitKat, MuMu, the bf, Cam, and Elena) to pursue this make up art thingy. I don't really know what to make of it yet but am really excited about all the potential outcomes, namely the 40% discount at MAC after I get my license. MuMu has recently offered to help create a website once I get my portfolio going which is so generous of her (Thank you, MuMu). KitKiat is willing to help Photoshop my photos (Thank you, KitKat). Thanks to the bf for driving me to and from class and offering to take me to potential volunteer jobs and clients (I am loser, I have no G2). Thanks to Elena for offering her face and her friends faces for me to practice. And thanks to Cam for being my shrink. There's no such thing as cannot, only will not!
