Finally had some time to review the FW 2007 collections. It seems that mustard yellow and violet are popular colours for next season. Here are some choice items I liked from CD RTW FW 2007. Nice looking pieces but there is too much spill-over from the Spring couture themes. Not too happy about that.

John Galliano, I love you! Thank you for giving us these wonderful treasures. And to all of you naysayers, these dresses are too intricate, too precious to be worn. It's not meant for wearing, it's meant for looking. Don't tell me that they're not beautiful.

These faces are works of art! I'm so jealous. Know anyone I can victimize like this? Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2007

Stella F/W

I really loved loved loved the silver dress and bright pink shoe combination. It looks hot. Flirty. Chic. Playful. Unique. Ooooh, love love.

I am also a fan of the first dress below. Very unique. It didn't initially scream Stella to me though.

I am not a big fan of this dress, but I love the silver dress and bright pink shoe combo!

I also really liked her coats, especially this short black one that is so chic and mature in the front, but remains playful by having a hood at the back.

I could never wear this poncho, but I think it looks fabulous on someone who is six feet tall. (But then I guess lots of stuff looks fabulous on someone who is skinny and six feet tall...)

Actually, I think if it had a tinsy less poof, I might be able to pull it off with black knee high stockings and then black heels.

Here is another dress I would never be able to wear (I would drown in those shoulders), but I like the esthetics of it on the model.

I think the short black skirt here is really playful.

I am a big fan of this dress. Perhaps not red, but the style of the dress is one you could easily throw on to get to work, but at the same time, it is also just such an interesting and stylish piece that it is not like any other regular work wear. I do think about clothes applicable for work way too much...

Last night I was talking to Shinai and she mentioned that she heard from Helen Melon that some little birdy told her that I bought a wedding dress (Moomu!) without explaining why I bought it. So Shinai bombardes me with marriage questions thinking that I actually am going to have a wedding. I guess I can't blame her for her assumptions. Naturally, people buy a wedding dress when there is a wedding planned, but not I. I am collector, dear friends. I bought it just to have it, without the intention of wearing it in public because the dress cannot be replaced (even though you can buy it on Ebay for $300USD..boooo....). I had completely forgotten about the gown until Shinai asked me about it and then I took it out and looked at it again. Yes, yes, I confess, I also put it on. I am so glad I didn't return because it is a very pretty gown. The funny thing is, I don't even see it as a wedding gown. In my eyes, it's just a pretty pouffy dress. Maybe I should dye it blue so we can all get off this wedding thing.....Regardless, I thought I would share the fact that I love love love love that dress. Here's a picture in case you guys forgot what it looks like.

This is the Zara dress I was talking about.
I'm back. I'm sorry for the negligent behaviour. Life has been busy (I realize it's no excuse to ignore fashion). I know MuMu has been waiting for a detailed update for my trip to NYC and I am very proud to post that all I bought in NYC was Aveda shampoo. You may be wondering why I am so excited about this purchase. This is because I paid $65 for 1L in Canada and only $32 for the same volume in the US. How can there be such a price discrepancy? I look forward to my next trip to the US. Even if the NYC shopping trip turns out to be a complete BOMB (which I doubt), at least I'll come back with my shampoo.

Secondly, I am looking forward to this James Bond themed party we're going to. MuMu you have to decide on the colour of your dress so I can start thinking about what kind of sexy look I can put on your face. I already know KitKat's so.......HURRY UP! I can't decide if I want to buy another dress (ie the yellow one from Zara) or if I should just wear one of the dresses I already have but have never worn previously. OH the dilemma!

<---- Spot Reserved ----->

missdior *says* she won't be shopping at all while she is in NYC.

I believe she will find it hard to resist.

Therefore, this spot is reserved for her to post her NYC purchases. Which I trust she will have. :D
