Almost must have list from V&R!
There are some really nice pieces in this collection, for sure, but surprisingly I'm not really loving this collection. There are really great pieces that look great on the mannequin and that conceptually I appreciate, but none that really fit my style or my practically. While I love the wedding gown, and I appreciate Miss Dior's ability to buy stuff for collecting and viewing purposes, I can't seem to get myself to buy pieces that I may or may not wear (or intend to wear).

So here is my almost must have list. Almost, only because this year I feel I could live with or without these pieces. Most are soo pratical, that perhaps I might be missing the point of getting V&R pieces. But here they are nevertheless.

1) Black Dress with bow/scarf around neck $129
2) Printed Grey Dress or Magenta Pink Dress $129 and if not that, the scarf
3) White Dress Shirt with the heart $49.90
4) Grey Heart Sweater $49.90
5) Jeans $79.90
6) The black shoes are also pretty damn cute but I have no intention of buying them...yet... :)

A better image of the wedding gown. I think the wedding gown is the most consistent item in the collection. I am more and more less wow-ed by the women's collection. The men's pieces, however, are simply amazing. If I don't get anything else, I'll get the wedding gown just to have it. And maybe I'll wear it to my common law barbeque.
Hahahahhah

The Trench

See, I LOVE the trench in this pic, but I didn't like it on the runway. I think I still want it though. Please please let there be extras that you can grab! Totally agree, three is better than two. Oh man!!!

Thanks to Mumu, the ever resourceful shopping queen, I got a sneak peek at the V&R collection. It's not what I expected given the recent items V&R have sent down the runway. I was hoping for more conceptual items mostly because I like to collect more than I like to wear. Anyone who knows me knows that I have items from as far back as highschool that I still love but refuse to wear because I'm afraid it will get damaged. Good thing I haven't gained massive weight because at least I can keep telling myself, "one day, one day I will wear it". Regardless, here are the must-have items from the V&R collection (so far). The wedding gown is the conceptual item I want but it's probably going to run close $500. At that price, both Mumu and I agree that I could put the money towards a bag (something that I'll actually use). Honestly though, I would get the same joy from just having the dress hanging in my closet. Unfortunately, as Tony cleverly pointed out, I'm running out of closet space. I told him I was going to take over his! Hahahaha Cat, get your list online so that when we hit the stores in 11 days, I'll know what to look for. We have to spread out to maximize the chances of getting what we want. Too bad you can't be here Mumu - because two is better than one, and three is better than two!

I love this new coat from CM ($349). The design incorporates many of the trends from Fall/Winter 2006 that include the play with volume (bubble trim around the waist and hem), irridescent fabrics (the black tweed is actually sparkly), and finally the somber mood (black is always in). Last week I was talking to one of the sales people from CM and she said that CM is adopting the massclusivity protocol, which is famously executed by Zara/H&M. This means trouble for us pragmatic, poor fans who can't afford the retail prices at CM. BOO!

The Viktor & Rolf website has been updated with some preview images of the collection. So far, I love everything. Stay tuned for your November issues for more preview images. Here are the items that I love so far.

It's almost November. And you know what that means...the annual shopping frenzy at H&M. Turns out that V&R are designing a bridal gown for this collection. This is so going to be worth the waiting outside in the freezing cold for 3 hours. YAY! Get your elbows sharpened.

I sold my Gucci money belt for $500 today to a girl at work. I'm sad that I had to part with such a nice bag but I know that I had to do it. Too many dreadful fakes out there and the nausea I get from seeing fakes on other people prevent me from wearing my own. Sigh....
At least I recovered a good portion of the costs. Now I'm free to acquire a different Gucci.

Say goodbye to it folks...

Images continued.

Here is a collection of images of new items (at least to me) from Tiffany's that I want. They range from $150 - $2000 USD. All of these items are found in the "Tiffany Silver" pages which are supposedly affordable.
